PARSONS SOLDIER DIES
AT CAMP MERRITT, N. J.

The Gregory-Kersey Co., has received word of the death of Ray E. Wadsack at Camp Merritt, N. J., on April 21.

Private Wadsack was the son of Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Wadsack, who, until a short time ago, lived in Parsons. He was twenty-three years old and was born and reared in Labette County. He enlisted from Washington three years ago, and had been overseas, but had not been in active service. He landed in Jersey City about three weeks ago.

Private Wadsack's wife was with him at the time of his death and will accompany the body to Parsons. The funeral arrangements will be announced later.

Funeral of Roy (sic) Wadsack.
The funeral service for Private Ray Wadsack, who died at Camp Merritt, N. J., were (sic) held this afternoon from the graveside, Rev. Gordon Thompson officiating. Burial at Valley Cemetery.

We wish to thank our friends for their assistance in the interment of our husband and son, private R. E. Wadsack, who died at Camp Merritt, New Jersey, April 21, 1919, and was buried at Valley cemetery, Parsons, Kans. We also appreciate the kindness of the comrades, who acted as pall bearers; and the friends that opened and closed the grave, and for the comforting words of Rev. Roy Burt.
