Graveside services for Mrs. Maggie Slawson Brownlow of Carrollton will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 25, in the New Bethel Cemetery in Carroll County. Rev. Joseph Sansing will officiate the service Visitation will be at New Bethel Baptist Church on Sunday, beginning at 1:00 p.m.

Mrs. Brownlow's grandsons and great-grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Mrs. Brownlow, 99, died at her daughter's home at McCarley on Thursday, March 22, 2018. She was born in Carroll County on September 18, 1918, to James Henry and Monie Wealthy Ferguson Slawson. She was a homemaker and a member of New Bethel Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Brownlow was preceded in death by her husband, James Edward Brownlow; daughters, Margaret Clements Garrett and infant Daisey Diane Brownlow; son, J. E. Brownlow Jr.; siblings, Sarah Holmes, James "Buddy" Slawson, Bessie McNeer, and Wade McDonald; grandsons, Gregory Clements, Raymond K Sanders Jr., and Jeffrey Edward Sanders; and great-grandson, Tyler Marett.

Mrs. Brownlow is survived by three daughters, Ahlean Sanders (Raymond) of Greenwood, Patricia Noah (Charles) of McCarley, and Cyril Dean Misskelley (Pete) of North Carrollton; twelve grandchildren, Robert G. Clements Jr., Dr. James Wesley Clements, Margaret Elise Ellison, Charles Bradford Noah, Scott Anthony Noah, Jennifer Maggie Marett, Amanda Ahlean Whitfield, Cyril Patricia Beck, Susanna Leigh Mullins, Michie Linn Hooks, Marianne Rankin, and Melanie Hooks Wiltshire; fourteen great-grandchildren, Sarah Beth Clark, Christopher Blaine Clark, Joshua Edward Sanders, Alex Noah, Caley Noah, Breland Marett, Bailey Marett, Joe Kelly Whitfield, Ava Ahlean Whitfield, Jeb Beck, Cooper Beck, Mathis Beck, Noah Beck, and Susanna Katherine Mullins; and one great-great-grandson, Briston.
