She attended BIA Boarding School in Crownpoint and worked at Crownpoint IHS. She retired from IHS after working 45 years. Her hobbies included sheepherding, sewing, traveling and sharing the gospel.
Survivors include her daughters Dorothy B. Martin, Ruby B. Brown, Emma Jean Begay, Genevieve McDowell, Ora Begay, Sadie Tso and Valene Hovel; 32 grandchildren, 70 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Roy Becenti; son Stanley Becenti; daughter Annie E. Becenti; sisters Mary Scott, Glinny Negale, Bizilbah Begay; brothers Harry Johnson, Joe Manuelito.
