Ernest P. Bamat
LeContes Mills - Ernest Peter Bamat, 54, was found dead in his car at his home here at 6 a.m. Wednesday, January 29.
A son of the late Jule and Mary Coudriet Bamat, he was born in Frenchville on July 29, 1886.
He was united in marriage to Lillian Royer on May , 1916.
An active member of the Sacred Heart Church of LeContes Mills, and the Church Committee of the St. Mary's Church at Frenchville and vice president of the Girard Township School Board he was well known throughout this area. He had been employed by the New York Central Lines since 1925.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Lillian Bamat, a daughter, Helen Louise of LeContes Mills, and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Harold Bamat and Mrs. Richard Plubell of Frenchville and Mrs. Grace Huganey of Frenchville.
Funeral services were held Saturday morning at 9 o'clock with Father Carl Pippert of the St. Mary's Catholic Church of Frenchville officiating. Interment was made in the Frenchville Catholic Cemetery.
