Loving mother of Bruce (Christine) Gemborys, Steven Gemborys (Priscilla Blake), Brian (Rachel) Gemborys, Michael (Joanne) Gemborys, and Karl (Jean) Gemborys. She also leaves as a legacy, 14 grandchildren 8 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Cleo and Laura Bettez, her brother Paul (Loretta) Bettez, sisters Janet Lott and Marie Callahan. She is survived by her sister Diane (Jerry) Raisanen and brother Robert (Jane) Bettez.
Kathy grew up in Gardner and graduated from Gardner High School where she finished academically near the top of her class. She and her husband Chet raised 6 boys and she spent countless hours in the kitchen utilizing her gift as a wonderful cook. She enjoyed reading, playing the organ and playing cards. She and her closest "girlfriends" played cards every Friday evening. Kathy enjoyed candlepin bowling on the PACC league. She loved traveling and took trips to Florida to spend time with her parents, brother and sisters. She and her sister Diane went on several trips to Aruba and spent a great deal of time together. She also worked as a stitcher at the Bettez & Larouche Company.
One of her greatest enjoyments was going out for dinner and dancing. She was very active and loved to play games with the family. Her calm demeaner, sense of humor and common sense were wonderful talents that came in handy when raising such a large family. Lastly, she was dedicated to her Catholic faith and regularly went to mass and had a life of prayer.
