Jessie is the daughter of Harry & Blanche Baker Wilson and the wife of Charles "Alex" Keyandwy who she married on 06 Jun 1931. My mother-in-law, Jessee was such a special and important lady in my life. When I first met her I was fourteen years old. By the time I turned sixteen and was able to drive I use to take her grocery shopping and almost always spend the weekends at her home on Beechdale in Detroit. She always treated me like a daughter and we had a special bond. She taught me how to prepare Thanksgiving Dinner and I still to this day love to cook on this special day, thanks to her. She worked at Canada Dry with her son and my husband Don. She always called him "Teddy". She knew she had high blood pressure but her condition was really never diagnosed properly. We found out when she died that her condition was due to a kidney problem which was caused from overwork as I recall. That was certainly true of her as she was always busy providing for her family, cleaning house and working in the yard. The first time I saw her dressed up was at our wedding and she looked so beautiful. I often think of her tending the gardens in heaven. She became ill at work and Don drove her to Grace Hospital. When they arrived her pressure was so high they could not get a reading. I am thankful that she lived to see Linda before she died but know that she would have been a blessing for all my kids. I love you, Mom -- until we meet again!
