Virgil Thomas Jennings Junior, 95, went to dance with the Angels on Wednesday, October 12, 2022. He was born on October 9, 1928, in West Louisville, KY to the late Virgil and Grace Jennings.
Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his sister Daisy Jennings, his daughter Judy Marksberry, and son Michael Jennings.
Tommy is survived by his wife Colene Jennings of 75 years; son Paul Jennings; daughter Kay Jennings; 5 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; along with two sisters Nora Willoughby and Dorothy Vinson
Tommy is retired union leader president of Glennmore Distillery of 40 years. He shared a restaurant of 20 years with wife Colene "The Comet." He loved to spend quality time with his family, loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing. Loved to dance and sing. He loved to tell stories of his life and travels.
Services will be 2:00 pm Sunday, October 16, 2022, at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at the funeral home.
