After graduating from Thomas Jefferson High School, Phyllis went to work for Chase Manhattan Bank. After her marriage, they started a family, and moved to Scottsdale, Arizona. A move to North Miami Beach, Florida followed, before they returned to New York with their three children.
Phyllis enjoyed volunteering as a leader for her children's Cub Scout and Brownie troops, playing cards with her weekly poker group, and cooking delicious daily meals for her family. When her children were older, she worked various jobs, including many years for the IRS. She loved to travel, taking many trips to the Caribbean, Las Vegas, Hawaii, Europe, Mexico, and throughout the continental United States. Later in life, she traveled to Alaska, China, and Israel, fulfilling a lifelong dream.
After living in Las Vegas for many years, Phyllis and her husband moved to Brookline, NH. She enjoyed playing bingo at the senior center in Pepperell MA, where she shared her mahjong expertise with new players. She was an avid reader, and loved crocheting blankets for her family.
