Anna Kathryn Olinger, 84, of Willow Hill, died Saturday, April 5, 2008, at Newton Rest Haven.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Crain Funeral Home in Newton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Ste. Marie. Burial will be in Shiloh Cemetery in Willow Hill.

Mrs. Olinger was born January 3, 1924, in Newton, the daughter of Ed and Ruth Shelly Rentz. She married Delbert D. Olinger on November 22, 1946. He survives.

During the couple's early years, Mrs. Olinger worked as a riveter during the war and later at the shoe factory. Her family will remember her most as a homemaker who loved to cook and care for them. She was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Ste. Marie.

Mrs. Olinger will be loved and remembered by her husband, Delbert D. Olinger, of Willow Hill; son, Daniel D. Olinger and his wife, Carol, of Willow Hill; daughters, Ruth Anne Hayes, of Olney, and Lydia Lea Parrent and her husband, Bill, of Willow Hill; 15 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; brother, Gene Rentz, of Texas; and sister, Mary Bennett, of Newton.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Edward and Homer Rentz; sisters, Agnes Chapman and Clara Fear; grandson, Randy Chapman; and great-grandson, Joshua Read.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
