She was born to the union of Ananiasand Elizabeth Robinson in Cary, Mississippi.

She accepted Christ at the age of nine and joined the Bethlehem Church under the leadership of Reverend E.J. Johnson. Her childhood days were spent in Greencille Mississippi.
On June 16, 1932, She was united in Holy Matrimony to George E. Brown who preceded her in death. To this union four children were born, three sons and one daughter.
In addition to nurturing her four children, she also reared one grandchild, Constance Hobson, one great granddaughter, Tawana Hobson and one great great grandaughter, Tatiana Hobson, as her own.
Ernestine was a loving wife and mother, She was dedicated and supportive to her family and friends In the early years she worked as a hairstylist. After she retired from work , she spent a tremendous amount of time with her family and friends. She lovedto cook and bake, which many loved and enjoyed to eat. She loved life.
