Jared Lee Barnes, 44, passed away August 7, 2023 in Cypress, Texas. He was born February 5, 1979 in Hobbs, New Mexico. When he was three years old he and his family moved to Midland, Texas where he attended first through seventh grade. Then in 1992 his family moved to Houston, Texas.
Jared graduated from Cypress Creek High School. After graduation he studied at Lone Star College and worked various jobs in sales. For almost eleven years he has worked in the IT department at USA Compression where he thoroughly enjoyed his job and was always ready and eager to help others.
Jared enjoyed going to the mountains (especially Colorado), flying his quad copter, skateboarding, playing video games, building computer and game systems, sport shooting, taking road trips and spending time with his friends. He also enjoyed cooking. Over the last few months, he had been experimenting with making pickles, which turned out to be both fun and frustrating.
He is survived by his mother, Martha D. Barnes of Colorado Springs, CO, his brother John David Barnes of Colorado Springs, CO, three nephews Taylor, Collin and Matthew Barnes and two nieces, Rebekah and Allyson Barnes, and one great nephew, Keagan Barnes, all of Colorado Springs, Colorado.
He is preceded in death by his father Rodney Lee Barnes, all grandparents and an aunt Mary Ellen (Corky) Martin.
