A lifelong resident of Attleboro, he was a son of the late Donat E. and Marguerite M. (Dennis) Pion .
Mr. Pion was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church, serving as an usher. He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in 26th Yankee Division and receiving the Bronze Star.
He was a member of the DAV and a committeeman for the Boy Scouts of America, Troop 4.
Besides his wife, he leaves a son, Daniel A. Pion of Douglas, Mass.; a brother, Gregory S. Pion of North Attleboro; and two grandsons. He was the brother of the late Eugene E., Russell F. and George E. Pion .
The funeral will be held Tuesday at 9 a.m. from the Foley-Hathaway Funeral Home, 126 South Main St., with a Mass of Christian Burial 10 in St. John the Evangelist Church, North Main Street. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery.
