Max B. Applebee, 78, died of a heart attack Oct. 25, 1996, at the home of his son in Anchorage. Services will be held at a later date in Fort Collins, Colo., where Mr. Applebee resided. Burial will be at Grandview Cemetery in Fort Collins.
Mr. Applebee was born July 6, 1918, in Randall, Kan. He retired in 1975 and was a member of the Baptist church. He enjoyed fishing and gardening. He is survived by his sons and daughter-in-law, Denny Applebee of Cheyenne, Wyo., and William and Mary Applebee of Anchorage; grandchildren, Amy Wasson, Anita Applebee, Alberta Applebee and Annette Ruprecht; and great-grandchildren, Chris Rigel, Misty Downs, Rebecca England, and Jessica and Rachael Wasson. The family requests that memorial contributions be directed to the Muscular Dystrophy Association Alaska Chapter, 1838 W. Northern Lights Blvd., Anchorage 99517. Local arrangements were handled by Kehl's Forest Lawn Mortuary and Crematory.
