Beverly B. Slaughter age 83, of Savannah, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2022.
Beverly was born in Griffin, Georgia, on January 28, 1939. She is preceded in death by her parents, Albert G. and A. Jewel Bryant; brothers, D. Gene Bryant and Russel E. Bryant; brother-in-law, Meredith Paschal; sister-in-law, Rosie Bryant, Faye H. Slaughter; and nephew, Terry Bryant. Beverly is a graduate of Griffin Spalding County High School Class of 1957. She retired from Diversified Enterprises of Tifton where she worked for 45 years and was on their Advisory Board for many years even after her retirement. Beverly collected angels, loved shopping, reading and puzzles. She was a faithful servant of the Lord for 67 years and a member of First Assembly of God Church in Tifton, Georgia, for 55 years.
She is survived by her husband, James W. Slaughter; daughters, Lynne S. Darnall (Paul), and Angela S. Garrett (Cliff); sister, Faye B. Paschal; grandsons, Nelson J. Shelton (Meghan), and Craig R. Shelton (Victoria); nieces, Amy M. Paschal (Marty), Judi Chissus (Steve), Rosemary Bunn (Bobby), Regina Plemmons, Janesta Walker (Luther); nephews, John Bryant (Regina), Bob R. Slaughter (Kim), Edwin Bryant (Linda), and Bruce Bryant; brother-in-law, William R. Slaughter; sister-in-law, Betty Bryant; and numerous cousins, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Visitation will be Saturday, April 16, 2022 from 9:30 am until 10:30 am at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. A service will follow at 10:30 am in the chapel. Pastor Ritchie Thompson will officiate. Interment will be at Oak Hill Cemetery.
