Visitation and funeral services will be held at the Ingram Funeral Home in Albion, the Rev. Mike Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.
He was born Sept. 9, 1922, in Edwards County the son of Frank C. and Harriet Holt Michels.
Mr. Michels was a farmer, and formally the Edward County coroner.
He is survived by one son, Mark Michels of Albion; three daughters, Vivienne Woods of Ellery, Stephanie Michels, Clayborn, Texas, Paula Michels, Tulsa, Okla.; five brothers, Vernon Michels, Virgil Michels, and James Michels all of Albion, Francis Michels, of Jerseyville; and two grandchildren.
