Vicki Monroe Cram, 70, of Asheville, passed away on September 4, 2023.

Vicki was born September 23, 1952 in Point Pleasant, NJ to the late Vernon and Theresa Helen Cram. She was a retired Master Sergeant with the US Air Force and served for 24 years.

She trained at Keesler AFB MS and then served in the honor guard in Sumter, SC during the Vietnam War, she was stationed at Sumpter AFB SC; Karamursel, Turkey; Cheyanne, WY; Rammstien, Germany; Bolling AFB DC; and Andrews AFB MD; she attended NCO leadership school and SNCO school.

Before starting her career, she was an avid gymnast which continued into the military. Vicki was dedicated to her churches, where she sang in the choir, taught Catholic faith formation classes to 1st and 2nd grade, first communion class, and co-directed the high school youth. Vicki also served on parish council for two years. After retirement, she worked at Owen High School as a "lunch lady" and volunteered at Black Mountain Primary School. Vicki loved the holidays and decorating for them, but her first love was her cat, Shasta, and many more cats to follow.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Jenna Cantos (Chris); siblings, Paula Arriaga, Heidi Kaufman (Stanley), Christopher Cram, and Lisa Hutchins (Steven); grandchildren, Matthew Allen, Lucas Allen, and Claire Cantos; niece and nephews, Jamie Lee, Jeffrey Hutchins, and James Hutchins (Elizabeth) and their sons, Connor and Andrew.

The family will receive friends at Harwood Home for Funerals and Cremation Services with a time and date to be announced soon.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, September 11, 2023 at 11:30am at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Christian Cook officiating. A reception will immediately follow. Burial will be at 2:00pm at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.
