Morris Williams, also known as "Big Boy," was born in Atlanta, Georgia, on April 11, 1942, to Ed and Carrie Williams. He grew up in the Mechanicsville area of Atlanta, where he graduated from Carver High School in 1960.

Morris served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.

During his early adulthood, he was an active member of Welcome Baptist Church.
Morris was a long-haul truck driver for over 30 years. He was a member of Teamsters Local 528.
