Information for Albert J. Smithson is from Calvin Edward Smithson, son of Albert Smithson, who was listed as missing in action. Albert was a POW for about 18 months in Germany and when released was returned to the US. He was in the U.S. Army and was a mortar man. I have a brother whose name is Gale Albert Smithson and our sister was Sandra Kay Smithson. There also was another girl who was stillborn and is buried at Gore Cemetery along side our Dad. Our dad was with the 90th Infantry Division (Tough Ombres). Our Dad is the one who was in the Sequoyah County Times, listed as missing in action. Calvin Edward Smithson, 634 E.
