JACQUELINE DHEERE 1924 - 2019 It is with deep sorrow that our family announces the death of our devoted and beloved mother and grandmother, Jacqueline Dheere, on March 13, 2019 at the age of 94 years. After a brief illness, Jacqueline passed away peacefully, in her sleep, at Actionmarguerite (St. Boniface). Loving memories of Jacqueline will be cherished by her children, Marti and Doug (Jackie), son-in-law Doug Cook, and grandchildren, Jordan, Evan (Krissy), Katelyn (Josh), Noah and Sky. Her extended family of sister-in-law Georgette Samyn (Danny), and numerous nieces and nephews will also miss her caring spirit. Jacqueline was predeceased by her loving husband Marcel, after 49 years of marriage, beloved daughter Maureen, parents, Denise and Albany Gallant, brother Alban, and sisters, Annette and Lorette. Jacqueline was born in Letellier where she spent her early years helping at her father's grocery store. When fate, in the form of a young visiting hockey player, entered this rustic setting, she fell in love, married and moved to St. Boniface where she raised her family and resided for her remaining years. Mom had numerous part-time jobs including: clerk at The Bay and film classification board member. But none of these activities took away from her true passion as a loving and devoted wife, mother and homemaker. Always there to support in difficult times with positive words and a warm embrace, and as a proud celebrant of her family's accomplishments. Mom was always ready to share her bountiful energy and heart-warming smile to anyone needing a confidence boost, a kind word of support, a lesson in family history or just her company. Mom greatly enjoyed travelling with Dad, attending baseball games with friends, concerts and theatre with her sister, and working on the daily crossword. Mom's love of life, faith and positive attitude allowed her to accept the many trials that crossed her path. That spirit was captured by all that met her. To the very end, she considered herself the luckiest person. Tu nous manqueras beaucoup. The family would like to thank the dedicated and compassionate staff of Actionmarguerite (St. Boniface) Unit 2DE. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, March 23, at 2:00 p.m. at Desjardins Funeral Home, 357 Des Meurons Street. In lieu of flowers, if you wish to honour Jacqueline's memory, donations in her name may be made to Canadian Cancer Society. Desjardins 204-233-4949 1-888-233-4949 www.desjardinsfuneralchapel.ca
