DODGE, Edward Samuel (Ted)
Age 99 of Vancouver, British Columbia, passed away on February 18,2013 in Vancouver.

Ted is survived by his daughter Carell Anderson, grandsons Rob and Tor, son Colin Jantzen (Tayler), grand daughter Danielle, Art and Julie and numerous nieces and nephews and their siblings.

Ted was born in Vancouver to Thomas and Annie Dodge on June 2, 1913, the last of twelve children. He graduated from King Edward High School. Ted joined the Vancouver Regiment in 1936 and was called to active service with the Irish Fusiliers in 1939. He went overseas in 1944 as a member of the Canadian Postal Corp stationed in England. He returned to Vancouver and in 1946 began working for the Vancouver Post Office as a letter carrier until his retirement in 1974. Ted had a passion for maritime and military history, art, architecture, people and books. He was member of Holy Trinity Church and resided in Chalmers Lodge in Vancouver.

A memorial service will be held at Holy Trinity Church, 1440 West 12th in Vancouver on Friday March 1st at 1 pm. The family wishes to extend thanks to the Management and staff of Chalmers Lodge as well as the doctors and nursing staff of Vancouver General Hospital. No flowers by request.
