John Cruit Maxwell was born 10 Mar 1932 to Henry Morgan Maxwell and Lula Grace Cruit. He married Leslie Louise Brown on 10 Jan 1954. He lost his dear wife on 25 Apr 1994 to ovarian cancer. He never recovered from the lost of his beloved wife. He died from an accidental fall exactly 6 years later on the same date: 25 Apr 2000.

Cusseta, GA - John Cruit Maxwell, 68, of Cusseta, GA, died Tuesday, April 25, 2000 at The Medical Center Hospital.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 29, 2000 at First Baptist Church in Cusseta, GA, with interment to follow in Lakeview Cemetery, Phenix City, AL, according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Macon Road. The family will receive friends this evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Maxwell was born in Plain City, OH, March 10, 1932, son of Lula (Grace) (Cruit) Kingston Maxwell of Cooper City, FL and the late Henry (Morgan) Maxwell. He has lived in Cusseta since 1951 (1960) and began his career working for WTVM Channel 9 as an Engineer. He was a U.S. Army Paratrooper and veteran of the Korean Conflict, where he received the Combat Infantry Badge. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Cusseta, where he served as a Deacon. Mr. Maxwell was an amateur Radio Operator and a member of the Smith Masonic Lodge #85 in Richland, GA and a life member of the N.R.A. He was preceded in death by his wife, (Leslie) Louise (Brown) Maxwell. Other than his mother, he is survived by a daughter, Lori Renee Blandy of Sandy, UT; and a son, Jeff David Maxwell of Columbus, Georgia.
