Leslie Louise Maxwell, 59, of Cusseta, died Monday at Doctors Hospital, Columbus.
The funeral will be 4 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church, Cusseta, with burial in Lakeview Memory Gardens, according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Columbus. Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Maxwell was born Aug 21, 1934, in Clay County, Ala., daughter of Albert and Mary Ruth Hallmark. Mary Ruth Hallmark Brown. She lived in Cusseta since 1960 and retired from Chattahoochee County Superior Court as a clerk after 25 years and twice being named clerk of the year. She served on the Board of the Chattahoochee Valley Historical Commission and was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, John; a son, Jeffrey David Maxwell of Columbus; a daughter, Lori Renee (Maxwell)Kinard (Barry) of Leesville, LA. and two grandchildren (Walter Jonathan and Donald Benjamin).
