Ferrell D. Morgan Sr. 78 of Fort Smith went to be with Jesus Thursday, April 10, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was a retired Southern Baptist Minister. He was last employed as Director of Missions for Concord Baptist Association in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He also pastored churches in Texas, Arkansas, and Missouri. He was a graduate of Ouachita Baptist University. He is a Korean War Veteran having served with the U.S. Army.

A celebration of his life will be held 12:00 p.m. Monday, April 14th at Grand Avenue Baptist Church with burial at The National Cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Margie Morgan, of the home; two daughters, Janet Williamson and her husband Bob of Fort Smith and Brenda Pendergrass and her husband DeWitt of Springdale; one son, Ferrell Dee Morgan Jr. and his wife Orpha of Greenwood.; His grandchildren; Mike Pendergrass, Melody Logan, Jennifer Pendergrass, Joy Williamson, Merri Carol Williamson, Meredith Morgan, Andy Morgan, Megan Morgan, Derek Morgan and one great grandson, Parker Logan.

Pallbearers will be Mike Pendergrass, DeWitt Pendergrass, Derek Morgan, Andy Morgan, David Logan, Brad Morgan, Phillip Lloyd, Anthony Morgan, Danny Morgan, and Mitch Galvan.
