John Adair Druyor known as Jack by his family and friends, passed away on May 28, 2022, at the age of 90 in Mesa, Arizona. He was surrounded by family at the time of his passing.

Jack was born in 1931 in Wooster, Ohio, the son of Robert Adair Druyor and Margaret (Cleghorn) Druyor (both deceased).

Jack grew up and attended school in Continental, Ohio. Robert and Margaret had two other children, sister Mary Brockman (deceased) and brother James Druyor.

He attended college and graduated with a bachelor's degree in Statistics from Iowa State University and a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Ohio University. He later obtained a master's degree in Engineering from Arizona State University after having retired. Jack served in the Navy and is a veteran of the Korean War.

He married his beloved wife Gayle Strong on June 20, 1953. They were married until the time of Gayle's death on June 3, 2020, nearly 67 years.

He was father to Cynthia Lee (Joe) Bohner, Cathryn Lynn (Mark) Riley, Daniel Mark (Angelina) Druyor, Roberta Louise Druyor-Sanchez and Linda Kay (Nathan) Brekken.

He was grandfather to Alison Biggs, Grant Robbins, Brandy Bohner, Anthony Bohner,

Ashley Bohner, Morgan Bohner, Matthew Riley, Bethany Riley, Delaney Riley, Benjamin Druyor, Samuel Druyor, Julianna Druyor, Galen Druyor, Andrew Druyor, Suzanna Druyor, Jesse Druyor, Gabriella Sanchez, Samantha Sanchez, Sarah Eans, Riley Eans, Natalie Brekken, Jacob Brekken and Jonathan Brekken. He was also great grandfather to 24 and 1 great-great grandfather.

When we think of Jack, we think of a devoted family man and hardworking engineer spending most of his career with one employer: General Electric/Honeywell/Bull. He was a big supporter of ASU baseball and softball. He also supported all athletic teams and school events (band, orchestra, etc.) for his children and grandchildren.

He loved to travel especially on cruises and took many family members to Alaska, California, Hawaii, Boston area, and Europe. He traveled to Peru and climbed to the top of Machu Pichu. He was an amateur ham radio operator and communicated with people

from around the world from his garage in Phoenix. After retirement, he volunteered at Lutheran Social Ministries food bank for several years. He stayed active with the engineering groups at ASU and provided consulting services briefly following his retirement. Other activities that he enjoyed in recent years included crosswords, Sudoku, audio books, and following the stock market. Jack was a very social person and loved going out for dinners, which led to knowing server's names and interests.

A private memorial service will be held on June 22, 2022, at Love of Christ Lutheran Church in Mesa, Arizona.
