Ocie N. Carnes, 95, of Charleston went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 8, 2008, at Arbors of Gallipolis Nursing Home, , Ohio.
She was formerly a clerk for local grocery stores and hospitals.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Carnes and a daughter, Cynthia Gibson.
Surviving are son, Charles R. Carnes Jr. of New Smyrna Beach, Fla.; daughters, Thelma Baldwin of Given, Sandra Walker of Charleston; sisters, Viola Marion of Pennsylvania, Lilly Jones of Kentucky; 11 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.
Service was at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 12, at Hafer Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Keeney officiating. Burial followed in the John Beane Cemetery, Sissonville.
