Arthur Parsons Albright, 81, died at his home in Fayetteville. He was born in Olean, NY, on September 20, 1926, to the late Dorothy and John Albright. He resided in Syracuse since 1925. He attended Pebble Hill School and graduated from Central High School in 1944. He attended Syracuse University and graduated from Babson College in Wellesley, MA, in 1949. He retired as president of Bardeen's School Supplies in 1982. He volunteered at Contact telephone hotline and for 17 years of his retirement he drove for the Disabled American Veterans. He was a member of Thursday Morning Roundtable at University College and the University Club of Syracuse. Arthur enjoyed the Adirondacks as well as the St. Lawrence River, where he fished, went boating and touring on his motorcycle. Family and many friends will remember Arthur's great sense of humor, kindness and generosity. Surviving are his wife of 57 years, the former Lucia Martin; two daughters, Julia Carr (Robert) and Susan Parker, both of Cazenovia; a son, Arthur P. Albright Jr. (Mary) of Oregon; eight grandchildren; and a sister, Susan (Harold) Hawley. He was predeceased by his sister, Dorothy Dube (Arthur), and his brother, John J. Albright (Mary). Calling hours will be held at Eaton-Tubbs-Schepp Funeral Home, 7191 E. Genesee St., Fayetteville on Saturday from 2 to 5 p.m. A memorial service will be held in the summer.
