Howard J. Ward, 78, of 6520 NW 24th St., Sunrise, Fla., formerly of Springfield, died Tuesday in Florida.
He was born Oct. 29, 1898 in Springfield, the son of John and Lillian Best Ward. He was a retired employe (sic) of the Chaney Mfg. Co., in Springfield, where he had been employed for 40 years.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy, and four grandchildren.
Services will be held at 12:45 pm Sunday in the Parkway Christian Church, Ft Lauderdale. Cremation will follow.
