BEN DOUGLAS BARCROFT, 82, of Memphis, died April 12, 2008 at his home. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. He was the Boy Scout Scoutmaster of Troop #32, Gunners Mate 3rd Class WWII veteran, a Mason, and a member of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church. He was also Deacon and Elder at the Macon Road Presbyterian Church and he enjoyed being outside with his grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Monday, April 14 at Memphis Funeral Home Poplar Chapel. Service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 15 at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church with burial in Memory Hill Gardens Cemetery. He leaves his wife of 57 years, Dorothy Barcroft; son, Douglas Barcroft (Lynn) of Bartlett, TN; sister Dee Parker of Memphis; brother Fred Harold Barcroft (Sarah) of Corpus Cristi, TX; three grandchildren, Benjamin, Sarah Grace, and Charley Kate Barcroft.
