Born on November 16, 1934, in Black Ankle, NC, she was a daughter of the late William Hosea Lucas and the late Samantha Louetta Ritter Lucas.
Mrs. Brown attended Spring Gulley Baptist Church and enjoyed cooking. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother that will be dearly missed.
Survivors include two daughters, Ruth Ward (Timmy) of Georgetown and Mary Etta Michau (Bob) of Andrews; four grandchildren, Susan Harrelson (Derik) of Georgetown, Timbo Ward, II (Jennifer) of Georgetown, Roddy Cross (Rachel) of Hemingway and Joshua Michau of Andrews; four great grandchildren, Devan Harrelson, Madeline Harrelson, Kinley Ward and Whitley Ward; a future great grandchild, Lane Cross; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by numerous brothers and sisters.
Graveside services will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, September 12, 2023, in the Spring Gulley Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Jamie Harrelson officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Screven Baptist Church, 2221 South Island Rd. Georgetown, SC 29440.
