Paps was a hard worker on the farm that he purchased from his father in 1971, which is still family ran today. He was also a proud oil and gas Driller. Paps was a member of the Locust Grove Church of Christ of Killbuck. He enjoyed Coon hunting, fishing, John Deere's, the time he spent at his home in Florida, and most importantly, he loved his family. He had a nickname for everyone, just so he could remember their name. Paps was the last of the W.R. Baker family. He was loved beyond measure and will be missed greatly by all who knew him.
Surviving in addition to his wife Lura are children: Robert Baker (Diane), Kathy Smith, Kevin Baker, Karen Hunter (Robert) and Roger Baker; grandchildren: Brandie, Desiree, Cory (Steph), Kailie (Zac), Ryan, Megan (Alex), Cody (Colleen) and Lindsey (Kevin); and great grandchildren: Kylie, Paul Jr., Brayden, Peyton, Shelby, Maddie, KieReke, Cole, Lane, Zoey, Khloey, Kendyll, Zayne, Aspen, Ariana, Ellory, Ryland, Hailie and Burke.
