Ernest W. DeForest passed away on August 1, 2014 at the age of 83 years. Beloved husband of Nona Yates DeForest by second marriage and of the late Nola Milton DeForest by first marriage. Father of Robert DeForest, Steven DeForest (Regina), Keith DeForest (Cheryl), Patricia Bourgeois (Charles "Bubba"), Joy Hutchinson (Brian), the late David DeForest (Barbara) and the late Diana DeForest. Stepfather of Leslie Schofield (Kathy), Robert Schofield (Debra), Cheri Belshee (Harold), Patricia Schofield, the late Roger Schofield and Mary Frances Schofield. Brother of the late Gene DeForest (Beverly) and the late Hugh DeForest. Survived by 22 grandchildren, 17 step-grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Ernest served his country in the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War and achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant, U.S.A.F. He worked as a route salesman for Sunbeam Bakeries, later worked as a route salesman for Bunny Bread and retired as an independent distributor.
