Gerald E. "Jerry" Coulter, 79, of Sharon, formerly of Grove City, passed at home on Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2020, following a 1-year illness.

Gerald was born in Millbrook on Sept. 4, 1941, to Elton L. and Hazel M. (Burdette) Coulter.

He married Gloria J. Grim on Sept. 20, 1975.

He was a 1961 graduate of Grove City High School. Gerald was a Blue Water Navy Vietnam veteran serving from 1961 to 1965. He served aboard the fleet oiler U.S.S Kennebec (AO-36) and he was a plank owner when the ship was recommisioned in 1961.
Gerald was a member of Irwin Presbyterian Church, where he served as an elder. He retired as a foreman in 2001 from PennDOT, where he was employed for 23 years. Previously he was a truck driver and during his retirement years he worked for ADESA Auto Auction. He is survived by his wife, Gloria, at home; a daughter, Debbie Delo and husband Dan, Sharon; a son, Jon Jarzenske and wife Stacie, Grove City; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; a sister, Edythe Wise, Mercer; and a brother, Philip E. Coulter and wife Jo, Grove City.

His parents and an infant sister preceded him in death.

Burial: Mount Irwin Cemetery, with military honors.
