He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Joyce Korengay; son, Lynn Kornegay(Charlotte); brothers, Roasco Kornegay(Diane) and Lonza Kornegay(Audrey); sister, Dean Nelson(Melvin); grandchildren, Jared Kornegay(Leslie) and Lindsey Kornegay. He is preceded in death by his parents, Isaiah and Opal Kornegay and sister, Oveilla Johnson.
