This "bio" is quoted from the book, "LUTHER PECK AND HIS FIVE SONS", By REV. J.K. PECK, A.M. Pages 14 and 15.

"The two walked to the minister's home and were married, September 27, 1787. The officiating clergyman was Joseph Peck. When six years of wedded life had passed Luther Peck's home had been brightened by the coming of three sweet daughters, bright angels of the fireside, every one of them greeted with joy, for their music and smiles were to make the days brighter for the ears to come. Two more years and a son was born. He was cherished and loved by the father and mother and carried in the arms of those sisters while the mother was turning the wheel of fortune (spinning yarn out of flax, tow and wool and knitting and weaving) and the father was tugging at the feet of all kinds of horses, wild, tame, and stubborn. The new boy was called Luther Hoyt Peck, so that he could carry the cognomens of his father and his grandmother."

Note: Luther Peck and Annis Collar were married in Danbury, Fairfield, CT.
