Joseph Henry Smigel was born to Elle Mae Sharp, and Henry Joseph Smigel, in Wilmington, Delaware on April 15, 1951. Joseph was the only child. In October, 1955, just barely 4 years old, Joseph's father was killed in New York, after losing his father, he was taken to California to be raised by his aunt Hattie, who later passed away before he turned 18. Joseph joined the army and became a helicopter sharp shooter for the US ARMY. After serving a little over 4 years he was honorably discharged with a purple heart. Joseph has 1 daughter who survives him, Megon Gabrielle Valencia, 8 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren so far. Joseph was an honorable man, who served his country and learned the art of auto detailing. Joseph will be missed and is loved by many. In the great town of Clear Lake, California, Joseph was known for his ability to make people laugh, and his wild stories of Vietnam. A great man God has tucked away in Heaven!
