Archie was born and raised in Muskogee, Oklahoma. He began driving eighteen-wheelers at the age of eighteen. He also worked for National Steel as an Operator and Tower Inspector, but then returned to trucking. Archie was an avid four-wheeler rider, and loved to travel in a motor home.
He is preceded in death by: his wife Clara Henderson, his mother and father, a sister; Sue Coit and a brother; Jack Henderson.
Archie is survived by: two daughters; Susan and husband Bill Calvert, and Vicky and husband Dave Barnett, one son; Robby and wife Patty Henderson, one sister; Margie Burris, one sister-in-law Mary Knoblesdorf, seven grandchildren; Amber Carter, Ashley Calvert, Justin Henderson, Julie Henderson, Wane Miller, Melisa Robinson, and Brett Miller, fourteen great grandchildren, and special friends Bruce and Liz from Texas. As well as a host of friends and loved ones.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 15, 2008 at the Keefeton Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Cordell Coppin officiating. Burial will immediately follow at McLain Cemetery.
Pallbearers will include Justin Henderson, Justin Carter, Hunter Walker, Wane Miller, Brett Miller, and Bob Coburn.
Honorary pallbearers will be Bob Scott, Tobe Scott, Bill Kaiser, Sparkie Holder, Roy Raines, and Homer Webb.
The family has entrusted Bradley Family Funeral Service of Muskogee with the arrangements.
