Thelma R. Beard
Services for Thelma R. Beard, 57, who died about 7 p.m. Saturday in Brooks Medical Center Fort Sam Houston, Tex., will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Northeast Church of Christ Sentinel. D. I., Cowan, minister, will officiate. Burial will be in the Post Cemetery, Fort Sill.
Graveside services will be about 2 p.m., under the direction of McClar Funeral Home of Sentinel.
Mrs. Beard was born Aug. 23, 1907, in Wichita, Kan. She married Marion A. Beard in July 1937 in Lawton. She was a charter member of Ladies Auxiliary to VFW Post 5263, Fort Sill, serving as its first president.
Mr. Beard died June 11, 1950. Survivors include a son, Cecil L. Hendrickson, Oklahoma City.

Word has come of the recent death of Mrs. Marion Beard, the former Thelma Ford, Helena...After her mother, the late Mrs. Carrie Ford, who lived east of Helena, was killed in a tornado. Thelma made her home for a number of years in the A. R. Kealiher home.

May have been adopted by Carrie Abigail (Clark) and Unknown Husband Ford.
