Floyd Lester Kessinger was the son of Jesse Earl and Effie Augusta (Cooper) Kessinger. He was their second of six children. He was born on 6 March 1920 in Mulvane, KS and died on 20 July 1981 in Wichita, KS. He served his country during World War II as a Private First Class in the U.S. Army. Floyd was married briefly in the 1940's and had no children.
