Obituary for Edith "Odie" Odelene Clark
Edith Odelene Clark, better known as Odie, passed away on September 27th, 2023. She was born in Walters, Oklahoma on November 7th, 1921, to parents William Elbert and Robbie Lee Madora Nance. She attended school in Walters where she met Marion Clark, whom she would marry in 1937.

Together the couple moved to California in 1938 where Odie worked in a machine shop during World War II making bolts for airplanes. She later worked as a waitress, in an auto parts store, and eventually became a business owner. They moved to El Reno, Oklahoma in August of 1977 where she worked for a short time at Terminal Grain, and she greatly enjoyed volunteering at Russell Murray Hospice Thrift Store, which she did for several years. A disciple of Christ, she was a long-time member of the First Christian Church of El Reno.

Odie is preceded in death by her husband Marion, parents William and Robbie, brother Cecil Francis Nance, sisters Wynona Pearl Nance, Mattie Lou Cox, and Billie Purvis, and son-in-law Joe Atkinson.

She is survived by her daughter Linda Kay Atkinson and son Robert Lynn Clark and wife Stephanie, her grandchildren Tara Kay Dew and husband Curtis, Justin Joe Atkinson and wife Deanna, Kara Lynn Sterling and husband R.J., Sean Clark, and Joseph Anthony Clark, as well as her great grandchildren Colton Joe Atkinson, Kaysen Marie Atkinson, Elijah Patrick Dew, Jonah Eric Dew, Chase Russell Sterling, Kennedy Lynn Sterling, Ever Ryan Sterling, and Emily Areil Clark.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to First Christian Church of El Reno or Russell Murray Hospice in Odie's name.

Come and Go Viewing and Visitation will be at Wilson Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 3, 2023 from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be held at the First Christian Church with Colton Lott officiating on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at 10:00 AM.
