Don had been employed with Aspen Tree Service and was of the Christian faith. He was quite a jokester who loved to cut up and aggravate anyone that he could get a smile out of. He was very caring and willing to help anyone who needed a hand. He loved his children and grandchildren and was a wonderful friend who was also honest, loyal and compassionate. Don enjoyed ginseng hunting, hiking, and hunting with his beloved hound dogs. He also liked listening to music of all kinds but most of all, Don was a family man and truly loved more than anything to spend time with his family.
Those left to cherish and remember Don include his wife, Linda Grant of the home; his children, Donnie Grant, Dayton Grant and Jason Grant all of Roan Mountain, Georgia Taylor of Sevierville, Randall Taylor of Roan Mountain, Melissa Manley of Union County, Tommy (Cindy) Taylor of Mascott, and Peggy Taylor and Gary Hughes of Hampton; two sisters, Barbara Harmon of Hickory, NC and Peggy Pippin of Columbus; and a brother, John Grant of Butler. Several other extended family and many, many friends also survive.
