OBITUARY
ROANOKE
Services for Sarah J. Doss, 84, of Roanoke will be Saturday at 3 p.m. at New Hope Congregational Christian Church with Revs. Arthur Dailey and Hoyt Noel Jr. officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge. The body will be at the church an hour prior to services. The family will receive friends 6-8 tonight and Friday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Doss died Tuesday at Randolph Medical Center.
Survivors include three sons, Robert Doss of Marietta, Ga. and Barry Doss and Jerry Brown, both of Roanoke; two sisters, Annie Jim Grier of McDonough, Ga. and Audrey Caldwell of St Claire Shores, Mich., four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Hani Dabbas, Hoyt Noel Jr., Russell Havey, Ray Halsey, John Milner and Herbert Clark.
Mrs. Doss was a native of Chambers County and a former resident of Franklin and LaGrange, Ga. She was a registered nurse at Randolph County Hospital and was co-owner of Franklin Nursing Home. She was a member, secretary and a treasurer of New Hope Congregational Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Cloyd M. Brown and Olin A. Doss; and a her parents, John Jackson and Hettie Young Floyd.
