A 1958 graduate of Perrysburg High School and a 1962 graduate of Bowling Green State University. She taught English and mathematics in the former Adams School District in Toledo, Perrysburg Schools, and Anthony Wayne Schools, retiring in 1992. She was chairman of the mathematics department for 12 years. Mrs. McKnight was a member of Alpha Tau Omega Honorary Society, Northwest Ohio Education Association, Anthony Wayne Education Association, Ohio Education Association, Wood County Historical and Genealogical Society, First Families of Wood County, First Families of Ohio, First Families of Civil War Soldiers of Ohio, Ducks Unlimited, National Knife Collectors Association, and the Ohio Genealogical Society. She was a professional genealogist and author. Mrs. McKnight's children: Jana McKnight Caldwell, Jenna (Tim) Winters, Taylor (Robert) Cartwright, Bailey McKnight, Timothy McKnight, and Blazie McKnight; sister-in-law Susan (Welsh) Gilders, and sister Susan Gilders. Grandchildren: Kestrel Winters, Chayton Winters, Cooper Winters. Great-grandchildren: Gage Cartwright, Riley Cartwright, Emily Cartwright, James Myers, Aubrey Myers. Best Grandma in the world.
