Mrs. Mary Helen Smith, age 61, died Wednesday, May 12 1993 at Trace Regional Hospital in Houston. Funeral services were held Friday, May 14 at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Burial as in Concord Cemetery with Dr. Bryan Scarbrough officiating.

The daughter of Lula Rambo Freshour and the late Jeff Freshour, she was born in Clay County and lived most of her life in Chickasaw County. She was a retired seamstress at Seminole Manufacturing in Houston and was a Methodist.

Survivors include one daughter, Jeanie Barnett of Houston; one son, David Smith of Houston; her mother, Lula Freshour of Houston; three sisters, Sammie Wooten of Saltillo, Georgia Fox of Chattanooga, Tennessee and Jackie Bowman of Johnson City, Tennessee and one grandchild.

Pallbearers were Mack Smith, Brad Smith, Gary Griffin, Nathan Naron, Harvey Dale Barnett and Johnny Wooten.

Memorial Funeral Home of Houston, Inc. was in charge of arrangements.
