Joanne I. Kohr, age 83, of Harrisburg, PA passed away Monday, October 2, 2023 at Amoroso Wellness at York.
Born August 6, 1940 in Harrisburg, PA the daughter of the late Raymond Thompson and Helen (Brooker) Thompson.
Joanne graduated from Cumberland Valley High School. She worked at Central Dauphin School District as a bus driver until retirement. She enjoyed watching her Pittsburgh Steelers and Penn State.
Along with her parents, Joanne was preceded in death by her husband: Edward R. Kohr I. Brothers: James Thompson, Robert Thompson, and Wayne Thompson. Sister: Evelyn Foster.
Surviving are daughter: Romayne Miller and husband Russell Miller Sr. Son: Edward R. Kohr II and wife Megan Kohr. Grandchildren: Russell Miller Jr., Chrystal Miller, Edward Gahagan, Adrianna Gahagan, Haven Schneider, and Landon Schneider. Great grandchildren: Jade Miller, Micah Miller, Russell Miller III and Abbie Miller.
A Funeral Service will be held 7:30 PM on Thursday, October 12, 2023 at Cremation and Burial Society of PA, 4100 Jonestown Road Harrisburg, PA 17109. Viewing 6:00 PM until the time of service at the funeral home.
