Survivors include sons, Keith (Linda) Kimmel, of Findlay, Larry (Pamela) Kimmel, of Fairfield, and Mark (Carol) Kimmel, of Powhatan,VA., Six Grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren, Sister In Laws Helen Thomas (Ivan), Betty Thomas (Don), Pat Thomas (Harvey) Nicholson. Seven Brothers and Six Sisters preceded Ellen in death.
Dorothy was a 1948 Findlay High School Graduate, a member of First Christian Church. She volunteered many places over the years: BVH Twigs, Whittier School Socials and was part of starting the library there, County Home for 25 years, Cub Scout Den Mother, Life member of the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary Buddy #43, Member of the Findlay Military Association.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 8, 2023 at the COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay from 1-4 pm and from 12-1 pm on Monday, October 9, 2023. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 1 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Mike VanDenEynde Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Houcktown Cemetery. In Lieu of Flowers donations can be made to Bridge Hospice and DAV/DAVA Relief Fund, 860 Dolwick Dr., Erlanger, KY 41018.
