Obituary Notice
The many friends of the TOOTLE family were grieved to learn Thursday that Mrs. SARAH JANE DUBOSE TOOTLE had passed away that morning at 1:10 o'clock at the home of her son G.A. Tootle, with whom she had resided for many years.
Mrs. Tootle was 82 years of age, a woman of fine Christian character.
She was a regular attendant of the Methodist church until two years ago, when her health became so impaired as to deprive her of this privilege.
The funeral took place Friday morning at the family burying ground. (Tootle Rd. N Vancleave)
The services were conducted by Rev. H.W. Van Hook, assisted by Rev. R.L. Vaughn. The pallbearers, chosen from among her grandsons were; Elliott, Ottis, Aulton, Clarence, and George Tootle and Carson Fletcher.
Mrs. Tootle is survived by four sons and one daughter, Joe; Lewis; Andrus and Wash Tootle and Mrs. Laura Berry, to whom the sympathy of the entire community is extended.
