Brother S.D. Chambers, father of Mrs. A.B. Cunningham and Miss Nannie Rose Chambers, passed from this life into a new and better life Sunday morning about eleven o'clock. Brother Chambers had been a sufferer for some years and especially for the past few months. We regret the loss of him, though we rejoice because he is through with the trials and tribulation and suffering and is rejoicing in the glory of God around the great white throne where we hope to meet him and other dear friends and kindred any time God shall call us. Dr. Cutts, of Blue Ridge, and Rev. E.T. Booth, of this place, conducted the services at Grisham [sp] grave yard. Dr. Cutts said many things which we should remember and use to make our lives better and more useful in the service of God.
