Son of Mr and Mrs Marion Dekalb Whitten, Turner Whitten was born in Paris, TX Feb 23, 1894.
He was unmarried, survivors being a brother A.B. Whitten, Pampa, and sisters, Mrs. Kate Clay, Paris and Mrs. Mary Gartin, Ft. Worth; half sisters, Mrs. Oma Read, Paris; and Mrs. Alma Wall, Greenville. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Marion Dekalb Whitten and Lillie Belle Pinson Whitten; brother Clifton Manton Whitten and Patrick Whitten; half-brothers Walter, John, Nauvoo, and Claude; and half sisters Alice Whitten and Mrs. Lennie Strickland.
