OROFINO Louise Marie Almeida, 81, a former Clarkston homemaker, died of causes related to age Monday at Orofino.

She was born Dec. 21, 1908, at Oakley, Calif., to Joaquin I. and Julia Mello Silva, and was raised in California. She lived at Lewiston from 1980 to 1987, and at Clarkston from 1987 to September of this year.

Mrs. Almeida worked for the Mount Diablo School District at Pleasant Hills, Calif., and for J.C. Penney Co., from which she retired in 1968.

Survivors include her husband, William Almeida of Orofino; a daughter, Sylvia Joyce Kendrick of Garden Valley, Calif.; a son, William R. Almeida of Lewiston; a sister, Agnes Taylor of San Francisco, Calif.; two brothers, Jack Silva of Lake Tahoe, Calif., and John Silva of Reno, Nev.; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

No memorial service will be held. The body will be cremated.

The family suggests any memorials be made to the American Cancer Fund, 1027 Ninth Avenue, Lewiston, Idaho, 83501.

Mountain View Funeral Home at Lewiston is in charge of arrangements.
