Family notes state that Valentine died from an attack of Typhoid Malaria at 38 yrs. old. Valentine's only children who went on to have families were Civil War Hero Patrick and City Councilman John. Valentine's parents were Johan George Pentzer and Elizabeth Kate (Melfave). Hopefully that is correct, I usually just see in our family notes George and Elizabeth Pentzer. George's parents are Christian Gottlieb Pentzer and Anna Barbara (Schaeffer) who were both born in Germany and came to America before their children were born.
